Coaching Opportunities

Job Title: Group Swim Coach - Part Time  

Location: York, PA 

Shifts/Availability: At least 2 shifts a week + swim meets on the weekends. 

About Central York Aquatics:

Central York Aquatics (CYA) is a USA swim club serving the greater York area.  Practices are held at the Central York High School Natatorium. We offer training to swimmers of all ages and levels of experience from 6-18 years of age. We are a 10 month team. Our Fall/Winter season runs from Sept-March, and our Summer season runs from May-July. 

Position Purpose: The Central York Aquatics  team is looking for an enthusiastic Group Swim Coach to deliver a high quality, safe and competitive swim team program for all swimming levels. 

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership for Swim Team program, activities, practices and swim meets as assigned by the Head Swim Coach 

Deliver and instruct practices and team activities as per the swim team goals 

Organize and manage swimmers at swim meets 

Actively promote CYA leadership,  Development, and Core Values 

Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor 

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age or older 

Competitive swimming experience or swim instruction experience required

Ability to demonstrate all strokes 

Must be able to obtain USA Swimming coaching certificate within 3 months of hire.

Be able to pass all required background checks.

Must be able to use technology 

Daily Tasks

Take attendance

Prepare practice (lanelines, equipment)

Write practice for group

Be an inspiring coach.
